All, I have a requirement to assign unique permission to a SharePoint list item, i read a few article on how to use http rest api to assign permissions, but i could not make it work in my case.
i am wondering any one of you already done this before and can share an example. greatly appreciated.

You can try available action “Grant access to an item or a folder” to assign unique permission. You need to manually “stop inheriting permission “.
