In various places within the Power Automate Desktop app dialogs and Power Automate website, Power Automate Desktop refers to the "Automation Browser" as the preferred browser to use for automation. However, I have searched everywhere for it and can't seem to find where to get that browser. I need to perform steps like clicking a link that results in a download file. Unfortunately that doesn't work properly with the various browser extensions. The documentation says that only works with the Automation Browser.
Does anyone know where to find the Automation Browser?
@UK_Mike
I'm using PAD and when trying to use the Lanch new Edge/Chrome I don't have the option you have described (only in explorer which isn't relevant anymore).
Can you please try and help me? as I'm looking for a RPA to download a file from partner center and save it in a specific folder on my machine.
Thanks
Can you please clarify?
I am using PAD. I have tried every browser launch. The only one that offers "Launch Automation Browser" is Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, most of the sites I need to scrape data from now block IE because it is out of support and a "vulnerability."
Any insight is helpful. Thanks!
thanks. i didnt know there were two communites. I'll try over there. thanks
Get the hell outa here !!! 😂
Kidding, I suggest the PA forums...
General Power Automate Discussion - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
oh i'm not using either of those. I'm an end user and I am working with power automated through a regular internet browser. I read about the automation browser so i thought I needed to add an extension on chrome.
I asked what you are using, PA or PAD ?
This is PAD below, with the extension link.
When I am on EDGE i see the power automate icon - so i assume i have the automation browser.
BUT When I use Chrome (my preferred browser) I dont have that. I want to make sure I have the browser for chrome so that I dont have strange compatibility issues.
Something tells me your using PA and not PAD ?
can you provide a larger screen shot. I'm not able to figure out where that browser automation is?
I want to make sure it set up in my office. I may already have the automation browser but i would like to double check.
Its not in Chrome or any other browser.
Drop in one of these browser actions, it will become clear to you..
