Hello all.

Please suggest me, better way to posts yammer group from RSS feeds.

I tried to configure a flow below.

RSS - "When a feed item is published"

 ex. http://news.google.com/news?hl=ja&ned=us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&output=rss&q=Microsoft

Yammer - Post message

 "Feed title" "Feed Summary"

Post result:

Title, HTML taged text....

Can I strip HTML tags from summary?
I need only text  and URLs.

Regards,

Taz

Hello, this is a great feature request, we'll try to add an option so you can get the plaintext (instead of HTML) content of an email.

    Hi Stephen!

I am pleased for good news!

    Currently I use tags below.

[Feed title] [Feed published on] [Feed ID]

    #Microsoft

     split-tags %20 (space)

     seach-key hash tags.

    Regards,

    Taz

    Hi Stephen

Can you please share how this was solved?

I'm also using flow to push an RSS feed to Yammer and the Primary Feed Link is presenting HTML code which I'd like to remove.

I couldn't quite tell from the discussion what the action is.

    cheers

I would also very much like to solve this - please could anyone that knows the solution post it here?

    Thanks in advance!

    Jon

In case anyone comes looking for a solution to the above (bit late now for Jon, of course) but I found it by using the connector Content Conversion - HTML to Text.

This hasn't help-ed solve my problem, which is that my RSS feed does not appear to trigger the RSS Flow Trigger - I'm trying to find out why - I'm not sure but it might connected to the fact my RSS feed of choice doesn't end in "rss", but rather, "rss.aspx?obj=39&sev=1&filtertype=1"

Thanks Walker - this is a very useful new connector!

In case it helps with your failed trigger, for one or two of my flows I have found a 'Recurrence' trigger, combined with a 'list all RSS feed items' action and an 'apply to each' works pretty well - it doesn't *appear* to import duplicates (it gives an error when no feed items are found, but that's fine).

My next problem is how to deal with RSS entities that are not available in the provided component: in particular, I really need to make use of dc:creator

A very late response (sorry!) but, yes - use Recurrence, list the RSS feed items, apply to each. For instance...
