I tried saving a Flow in our production environment without making any changes.
How can I get rid of this error message?

Has the original owner of the power automate flow left the company?

Try changing the Owner of the flow - If the Flow is in a Solution, you can change the Owner of the Flow from the details page of the Flow. If your Flow is not in a Solution then you can move it into one, which will allow you to change the Owner.

    Thanks!

This error occurs because the flow is referencing a user or connection tied to a user that no longer exists or is not valid in the tenant.

Even if no changes were made, saving the flow triggers a validation check which fails.

To resolve it, verify the flow owner, recreate or rebind connections and connection references, and ensure all users or service accounts involved still exist and have

    proper access.

In many cases, reassigning ownership or recreating the flow resolves the issue.

    1. Check if the original flow owner still exists in Entra ID. If they left the company or were deleted, that's the cause.

    2. To change the owner: move the flow into a solution if it isn't already (Solutions > Add existing > Automation > Cloud flows), then open the flow's detail page and change the owner to an active user or service account.

    3. After changing the owner, open each action that has a connection and reselect or recreate the connection under the new owner's account. Connections tied to the old user won't work even after ownership transfer.

    4. Save and test the flow after rebinding all connections.
