How can I show if a list item is approved or rejected

Hello,

I am slowly building my Change Control flow.

My Flow starts a Create an Approval (v2) if the status value of a choice field is changed to SUBMITTED

The Assigned user then gets the approval email with a link to the SharePoint List item and the ability to Approve or Reject.

So far so good Man Happy

What I want to do is to update the List so that we can see if the status is Approved or Rejected and also to see the comments.

Is this possible? I have been trying for hours and cant see how I can do this.

Adam.

That is exactly one of the scenarios I will be demostrating in my talk at next week's Collab 365 Virtual Flow Summit.

    Essentially, you have two choices.

    1. Turn on require approval in the list, which will create an Approval Status column in the list and you can update that using a special action called Set Content Approval Status
    2. You can create your own column in the list of type choice or single line of text and update that using the Update item action.

    Hi @AdamInLondon ,

You could use Create Status field(choice type) to record the approval results and create a string field to store the Comments.

Please refer to the screenshot below to configure Flow.

If you use When an it is created or modified as a trigger, you need to pay attention to the potential loop. When the Update item action is executed, Flow will trigger again to generate a loop.

It is recommended to add additional restrictions in the initial Condition judgment. When the Status field is empty, the following action is executed.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
