Using Power Automate to get notification in Teams group after new News Post in SharePoint

Hi,
After I have created a news post in Sharepoint, I don't get message in Teams channel. News Post is in promoted state 2 (I have checked).
I checked the flow and in the condition result is false... but why?

Error msg ActionBranchingConditionNotSatisfied. The execution of template action 'Post_message_in_a_chat_or_channel' skipped: the branching condition for this action is not satisfied.

My Flow (without info if yes - Posts a message to a chat or a channel): List name is written as custum value

Hi

To find out whats wrong please do this.

Above the Condition add a Compose

In the Compose, drop in your Dynamic Property Promote(I cant see the rest)

This will tell you way its not working.

Thank you! So I checked it and I got this:

Now I am very confused. Because the SP showed me that the page promotes state: 2.
Is there anything I can do, or why the flow thinks that the site page is in promoted state 1, but in fact it is published?

Normally an item is not initially created with a promoted state of 2, it will have the value 1 first (unpublished). So, when this flow is triggered by the news post it would still be unpublished. You want to trigger it when it is published, correct?

In other words, can you try and use the When an item or file is modified trigger action instead of the When an item is created action?

I will try and hope that this flow will not be activated when I am doing the newsletter. I see that when I posted newsletter today on SP one was as a page and other as a news post:

Before in my flow I did get notification in teams about "Page" because of Promoted state 2.

So I added this:

I hope this will help to run the flow as it should - just for a news post. If anyone sees fails, please let me know. :)

No I dont see anything wrong with what you have.

I think the simple thing :-) and what I hope you got from what I gave you is, there is always an easy way to compare why data isn't comparing what you think it is. So try not to assume. Trust by verify :-)

This way when coming back here it will make it quicker to help, just a suggestion is all for yourself to find things later :-)
