OneDrive approval workflows

For any of the OneDrive approval workflows

- Start manager approval for the selected file

- On approval, move a new OneDrive file to a different folder

You still need to manually share the OneDrive document first with whoever the approver is, as otherwise they won't get access to it to approve?

    Hi @scm8nwr,

I believe that there is option to create sharelink for such file on which you run flow.

    OneDriveShareLink.PNG

Or there is always option if you are administrator of your azure AD to use Microsoft graph API till it will be implemented directly in Flow - https://docs.microsoft.com/cs-cz/onedrive/developer/rest-api/api/driveitem_invite

    Thanks, that's very useful.

It looks like the "Create share link" action only allows you to limit the link scope down to Organisation at most, i.e. not to a specific user?

Hi @scm8nwr, yeah this is correct, you create share link to file. It is not like give access to file to specific user, this is possible via Graph API. Right now.

    Hi @scm8nwr,

I agree with @vecerpa's thought almost, I have made a test on my side, my flow's configuration as below:19.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:20.JPG

If you set Link scope to Organization within the "Create share link" action, everyone within your Organization could be able to access the web link the "Create share link" action generates.

Linking scope to a specific user is not supported in the "Create share link" action of OneDrive connector of Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

    Best regards,

    Kris

Thanks. The "Create Share Link" doesn't actually send out an email with a web link in it though does it? Otherwise everyone in the whole organisation would get an email.

So if you setup a subsequent approvals action which does send out an approvals, you would expect an approver to have access to the document in the link within the approvals email? As it's not working for me.

I see it creates a Web URL as an output from the Create share link, Create share link by path.

    Thanks for your help
