Unable to update multi select choice field in SharePoint list!

Hello,

I have a multi select choice field called MultiChoiceField1" in sharepoint with options "abc,xyz" list that I am trying to update via flow, which should accept the value in the following syntax:

multiChopiceField.png

However, it still shows data updated as "[
{
"Value": "abc"
},
{
"Value": "xyz"
}
]" in the "MultiChoiceField1" as single line of text instead of multi select seperate option.

Therefore, none of the following logic works for me as  it is not working manually as well:

Can you please share where I am getting wrong?

Thanks,

    Hi @dave8,

    The format of that array looks ok. Can you check the settings of your MultiChoiceField1 column. Does it actually allow multiple selections? Just to double check.

    If that's setup correctly, are you able to show the output of an existing item in the list where multiple choice values are being set to see the MultiChoiceField1 column values and share a screenshot of that with us?

    Did you make sure you clicked on the icon above and to the right of the field to switch it to Array entry mode?

    Hello

    @Expiscornovus

    Actually I could not share the screenshot, but I can confirm that "Multiple values" are allowed in the field and in the list column MultiChoiceField1 I see that multiple values are seperated by comma e.g. "a,b,c"!

    @Pstork1

    When I set output as follows, it did not work!

    multiChopiceField1.png

    When I reverted it back as follows, it worked!!!!!! ( However that's how it was earlier 😞 , Or I do not remember correctly, but this is the culprit! )

    I am glad, the issue is resolved!! Thank you very much for your time 🙂

    Best,

    If you look at the dialog you will see that the first one is in individual item mode.  You can tell by the Add link below it.  The second is array mode, which is what you need.
