Unable to process template language expressions in 'formatDateTime'

I am getting the following message when I attempt to reformat my date and time field.

"Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Formatted_Deadline' inputs at line '1' and column '25790': 'In function 'formatDateTime', the value provided for date time string 'Applicationdeadline' was not valid. The datetime string must match ISO 8601 format.'."

Here is what the date looks like:

I used the following expression in the compose (formatted deadline):

formatDateTime('Applicationdeadline','yyyy-MM-dd')

I thought I followed the steps from the following source, but maybe I missed something? 🤷‍♀️

The flow is failing at the expression because it is trying to convert the text Applicationdeadline to a date:

    2021-10-26_00-36-12.png

Specify the Compose 'variable' in the expression:

    2021-10-26_00-34-16.png

    formatDateTime(outputs('Compose'),'yyyy-MM-dd')

     Example output:

@ekarim2020 you are definitely a rockstar. Thank you! That worked. For some reason I thought i was supposed to put in my value there. At least that's how i understood the instructions in the link I shared above.

This worked!! Accepting the solution. Thank you again!
