Hi,
I was hoping to use Flow in conjunction with Forms to process answers to a survey.
I'm trying to use a specific answer to a multiple choice question as a condition in a flow but I can't seem to make it work. I'm not sure if I'm just having issues finding the right values in the condition or if it is just not possible.
I basically thought the condition should be
"question 4" is equal to "answer a"
but in the dynamic content I only seem to find the questions, not the answers and typing the actual answer in the value box only seems to trigger a flow failure.
Apologies if the answer is obvious, I'm a newbie and would appreciate any help.

Dear Scott, Thanks its looks a good solution.
I was trying to apply for a if condition
Ie. I have created a forms for Material Purchase Request..
If the total value is more than 5 Million it should go to one person other wise to another person.
But I am not able to put the value from Forms in condition.
Request your help in here.
I see this is old, but could you help me out to understand what the answer is.
I think I am trying to achieve the same as you were:
Microsoft Form Questionnaire
Question 1: What's your favourite colour?
Choice 1 - Red
Choice 2 - Green
Choice 3 - Blue
Then when that form receives a response, if they respond Red, they would get an email relating to Red. If they respond Blue, an email about Blue....etc
I'll need a little more information in order to assist. I suggest you create a new topic and provide additional details along with a screen shot of your Flow as it currently exists.
When I am doing something similar, I am unable to get the "List of response..." green like you have in the apply to each. Is there a way to get that option?
Amazing, your solution allowed me to create a Flow with a Form that, depending on the answer, triggers up to three different emails. I had to use the answer to the question ="the exact text of the response". I tried to use the question Id first but didn't work.
This opens up a whole world of possibilities. Thanks for sharing.
i have form. which contains 15 questions. I need to dynamically pass those 15 questions and validate it with answers.
Hi Scott,
Sorry it took me such a long time to get back to you.
The Get Response Details did work straight away, although I'm not using the "initialise variable" step, as I was not sure how to set that up. What function does it serve?
Also, the flows still seem to fail every time I have the excel sheet open when a form is filled in, do you know if there is any way to stop that?
Thanks again!
Cecile
It sounds as though you are not using a Get Response Details action after the trigger.
After your When a New Response Trigger is Submitted trigger, you need to use a Get Response Details action. Referencing any of the Forms response columns (they will show up in Dynamic properties from the Get Response Details action) will put you into a loop. The loop is OK since there is only one response and it will only loop one time.
Please see my screen shot below for an example.
If this solves your problem, please mark your post as Solved.
