Creating Sharepoint folders based on spreadsheet

Hi all,

Is there a reason my flow times out when creating folders from info on a spreadsheet?

I've capped the "List rows present in a table" to 150, it worked at first and made around 20 folders but stopped and I haven't been able to get it to make any more since.

Any help is appreciated.

It might have something to do with the names and creating folders.

Are there blanks in the Excel document, like blank rows that would cause an error?

Do you have folders that would have duplicate names like two employee's named John Johnson?

Does the Department or the Names have any special characters or values that could cause naming errors like periods. or parentheses?

Did you refresh your browser to show the document library? Sometimes there is a refresh to show new items, and to see the new items in a file explorer might take longer.

The flow made about 20 and stopped making more. I left it running for about 40 minutes after and it didn't do anything so I stopped it.

No blanks in the spreadsheet. I tried shortening the list and took out a chunk after where it stopped in case it didn't like a name but it just didn't create any more. No special characters and no duplicates, ran a check on the spreadsheet. Refreshed the browser each time it's been run as well.

I think it would have to do with some sort of name character issue that would be difficult to see.

OR you might want to check on the manager email address for similar character or existing issues to see if that is causing a hangup.

The last thing I could think of would be to put a delay between the Create folder and Grant Access and see if that helps. Maybe a 5-10 second delay or something as a buffer.

Okay for some reason it really didn't like our Food and Beverage department. It made one subfolder inside that folder then nothing else. Took all of those out of the spreadsheet and the rest ran fine.

    Great!

Was it "Food & Beverage" ? Because that ampersand might have thrown off the name since it is a special character. Someone else had an issue with creating folders that had special characters in the name, and it was solved by creating a folder with a http request instead.

Depending on how many rows you have in excel make sure to go to the settings in List Rows and turn Pagination On that way it will go through the whole table.

If this issue is resolved please mark my response as a solution so this will be useful to others. Thanks!
