When Microsoft Form Response is Edited

I created a power automate flow to send the responses from a Microsoft Form to a Sharepoint list. That works perfectly.

My issue is: When a user goes back to edit their response in the form (add new info or change something), I need a trigger that would modify the result in the Sharepoint list. I only see a trigger called, "When a new response is submitted". What I would need is something like, "When a response is modified". Is this possible???

    Hi @daveh_auto,

Sorry that Power Automate does not support this kind of trigger like "When a response is modified".

We only have "When a new response is submitted".

Actually, I think you could still use your original flow.

Whatever you create a new response or edit an old response, you need to submit a response, you could check the title or other field that both of form and SP list share, if it exists in list, then you update the existing item, if it does not exist, create a new item.

    Thanks Qi, that works!

Hi @daveh_auto, did that actually work? It is not working for me. I don't see how that would, considering the trigger is the same, and it wouldn't trigger when the form is modified either way

    Indeed, it does not work.

Were you able to solve this issue?

There is no trigger to do what I asked. Instead, I'm having the users make any edits to the list instead of the form.

I feel that marking this thread as 'solved' is inappropriate. It does not address the desire for an alternate flow trigger for an edited response.

As an edited response is still unable to trigger a flow in the same manner a new response submission does - a user cannot populate a SharePoint list and/or excel form with updated response data.

Are there alternative solutions to capture this information from the form resubmission itself. Considering Microsoft Forms have inbuilt capacity to present response data in Excel as is, surely there is a way to pull this via power automate?

Does it still valid? Cause I tried. However the flow is not even triggering when I modify a response.

I tried the suggested solution, but the flow itself is not getting triggered when an 'Edit Response' happens. Is the solution working for you? If yes, are there any other settings/customization that need to be done to make this solution work?

Still have this problem myself and can't find a solution. I'm surprised at the lack of info anywhere about a workaround to this.
