The API operation does not contain a definition for parameter 'item/XXXX

Hello

Still new to building Flows but I am having an issue with a simple flow I built and got working a few months ago.

I have a flow which just takes the input from a MS Form and sends out different emails depending on the selection in the form.

I was all up and working and I just wanted to update the email wording when I got the error 'The API operation does not contain a definition for parameter 'item/XXXX'' on trying to save.

It was coming up with this error even if I did not change anything and had just Edited the Flow and then saved.

The field it had an issue with was one where it was saving into the main associated spreadsheet, but all the others are fine.

I even tried removing the Add row option and insert a new one but the same issue - it does not now like this one parameter selection from the form.

Start of flow is below.

I've tried searching but no luck on any of the answers.

The only difference I have noticed is that the Power Automate online app has been upgrade (different look/feel) so the pop up boxes are different.

Thanks

    Hi @Ham_PA,

As a workaround have you tried editing the flow via the classic designer. Just to see if that makes a difference and if you have the same issue in that designer?

Thank you! I didn't know that there was an option to go back to the old version.

That has worked a treat and saves quite happily. 🙂

    Hi @Ham_PA,

Yes, that designer is still pretty new. So, in some cases it can be useful to temporarily switch back to the old one:

Thank you for this. I was having the same issue and regardless of what I searched, I couldn't find a solution until I switched back to classic and now it works perfectly.
