I have a requirement for users to select a document from a Sharepoint Online Library and then be able to pick the specific users they want an approval to route to. Then start and wait for an approval. Once the document is either approved or rejected everyone gets an email with the approval output as well as an email goes to a group inbox.
So far, I have found that Power automate can do a lot. Regular Sharepoint workflows can easily do this. But I have yet to find a solution for this with Power Automate. Does anyone have any info that can point me in the right direction?
The one hard part of this in Power Automate is selecting the Approvers. Power Automate doesn't have an Initiation form the way that SharePoint approvals does. The easiest way to handle it is to add a multiple select user/group column to the document library to hold the list of approvers. This can easily be picked up by the flow when you kick off the approval. Everything after that is fairly straightforward.
