Hi,

I am new to PowerAutomate, trying to build a flow but got stucked.

I have several Lists where it contains Dates, I have built a flow whenever a new item is created, create another item with title and date information in my MAIN LIST. It worked. But if I go to an existing item, and change the date, the item doesn't get changed in my Main List. I saw there is a Flow called

    Hi @IKeea :

Do you hope that when the record in list1 is updated, the corresponding record in list2 is updated synchronously?

    If so,you could try:

    • use the "When an item is created or modified" trigger to trigger the flow
    • Traverse list2 to find the corresponding record

a)If the corresponding record does not exist, create a new record in list2
b)If the corresponding record exists, update the record

I've made a test for your reference:

1\I assume there are two lists, and the column "Title" is their primary key:

    Thank you! It works!!

Can I ask also, from my list 1, I have date and time information, which I want to auto populate to List 2, but it only goes with the date, not time, is there anything more I need to add? Thank you a lot.

    hello,
I have followed your flow exactly I think but it always ends up creating a new item rather than updating the other one.

I have put on the approval for list editing so not sure if that would effect it. but here is what i have done.

here is what I have done

    ITEK_0-1638768767450.png

with the filter being title eq '

    triggerOutputs()?['body/Title']'

    with the condition formula

    length(outputs('Get_items')?['body/value'])

    Hi @v-bofeng-msft ,

In your example, your two lists both have a column called "Title" which you note are their respective primary keys. From what I can tell, you then use the ODATA filter line in the GET ITEMS step to "Title eq 'Title'" where the bold/underlined is dynamic content from list 1.

What does the ODATA filtering look like if the primary key columns are not the same type of information (like 'Title')? Do you need to use both primary keys for the ODATA filtering (e.g. 2nd List Primary Key eq '1st List Primary Key')?

As an example, I have an Asset List where "Entry ID" (numeric) is the primary key and I am trying to update a column in a separate Team List where "Title" (position name) is the primary key with data from a column in the Asset List.

    Thanks!

EDIT - I was identifying the primary key based on it being the column I could only rename and not edit/delete. I am just now realizing both lists had hidden ID fields. Trying to figure out if those are actually the primary keys.

    Hello

I have a similar issue with item update.

If any changes are made to Risk Title column in List 1 this should be reflected in List 2 under Parent Risk column.

I struggle with the Filter Query for get items action.  I can't see my column names and if I use: 'Parent Risk' eq Title the flow comes back with Parent Risk being invalid.

    List1 - Column: 'Risk Title'

    List2 - Column: 'Parent Risk'

Flow trigger: When an item or a file is modified.

Should my columns have the same name?
