Flow from Excel to SharePoint – Date format problem

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by 83

good afternoon group

I am trying to carry out the flow that I describe below, but in step 3 (and therefore 4) I get an error.

I have tried when adding the step choose "Data Operation" and then "Write" with the following formula or expression formatDAteTime(item()?['Date Filed'], 'dd/mm/yyyy'

If I remove step 3 and 4 and in the fifth step I uncheck the SahrePoint date columns it works fine

1-. PowerApps (V2) trigger via a button that invokes the flow

2-. List the rows of a table in an Excel File located in SharePoint

3-. Convert the Excel column "FechaRadicado" (which is as general) to dd/mm/yyyy

4-. Convert the Excel column "Invoice Date" (which is as date) to dd/mm/yyyy

5-. Copy data from Excel file to SharePoint list WM Report

I have looked at forums and they propose the "Compose" action, but my version is in Spanish and I cannot find the equivalent.

Thanks in advance for the help

    Hi @JE_Forero ,

    Is there an Apply to each control within your flow? Based on your description, it seems the flow should be as follows:

    If the error persists, please consider share the error message details.

    Best regards,

    Hi v-Jefferni

    Thank you very much for your time on this case.

    First I tell you that I can't find the equivalent to "Compose" in my Spanish version, the closest thing is "Redactar" and within "Redactar" I am using the following expressions

    formatDateTime(item()?['FechaRadicado'], 'dd/mm/aaaa')

    formatDateTime(item()?['Fecha de factura'], 'dd/mm/aaaa')

    the error is the following

    Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Redactar' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'In function 'formatDateTime', the value provided for date time string '45076.6968518519' was not valid. The datetime string must match ISO 8601 format.'.

    Hi @JE_Forero ,

    Redactar is correct (based on the behavior). You can see in the first screenshot in my previous post, the DateTime format of Excel table need to be ISO8601.

    Best regards,
