Wait for window content doesn't timeout even when setting the wait time explicitly

hi
i'm using PAD version 2.51.x.
I have recently noticed that the timeout wait value for "wait for window content" doesn't have an effect.
This is what I tried :
1.
turned off "fail with timeout error'
Default settings for "On Error"

result : bot waited for a lifetime as expected.

2.
turned on "fail with timeout error' with the time out value of 5 seconds.
Default settings for "On Error"

result : bot again waited for lifetime but did not throw any error but, ideally it should throw a timeout error.

3.
turned on "fail with timeout error' with the time out value of 5 seconds.
"On Error" settings :
Retry policy : NONE
Actions on All errors : added a "rule" to set the error to a variable and "continue flow run" to Next action.

result : bot again waited for lifetime and did not set the variable value after timeout and did not even move to next step.

this is a very basic feature and this even is not working as it is supposed to!
I have no words to say about this tool.

has anyone else faced this?

Wait for window content doesn't timeout even when setting the wait time explicitly
    Hello @Sanju1307

I haven't encountered issues with Wait for window content like that. Can you share a screenshot of the action. Pictures give so much information which developer might forget to mention.

I tried with the 2.51.231 and seems to work as expected. Also tried with 2.53 and timeout worked as expected.

Is the Wait for window content waiting for text or UI element?

One thing that might cause issues is if you have Power Fx enabled flow and are not using Power Fx syntax for numbers (it should give syntax error though) or the other way around you have regular flow with power fx diabled but are using power fx syntax.
So if in regular flow I insert the timeout time incorrectly: =5 then it would never timeout since that just text. In my testing the action just turns the Fail with timeout error off in regular flow if I try to add text into it and there for the action would never timeout.

This is how it should work fine:
