Severe Intermittent Dataverse Slowness Affecting Power Apps and Maker Portal

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 18

Persistent intermittent Dataverse performance degradation since September 3.

The affected environment is our Default Power Platform environment hosted in the North Europe region, running Dataverse version 9.2.26081.163.

The issue initially included intermittent HTTP 502 Bad Gateway errors. The 502 errors have now stopped, but Dataverse and the Power Apps Maker Portal are still intermittently extremely slow. Sometimes pages, tables, forms, Solution Explorer, and designers load normally, while at other times they take a very long time to load.

The issue has been reproduced across different devices and different internet connections. The environment status is Ready.

We have also checked Microsoft Service Health multiple times since the issue started, and it continues to show no active incidents or advisories related to Power Apps or Dataverse, despite the performance issue still being present.

This is not currently behaving like a normal Power Apps application performance issue.

The evidence points toward an intermittent Dataverse/platform or environment-level performance problem.

The disappearance of the 502 errors does not mean the incident is resolved—the continuing severe latency indicates that the

    underlying issue remains.

Microsoft Support should investigate the environment using backend telemetry and the exact timestamps of degradation.

Do you mean this is likely an issue specific to our environment, or a wider Dataverse/Power Platform issue affecting multiple environments or regions?

    Hi @Ahmed_Hassan10,

Though MS not recording any issue what we can do is:

    1. Let's look for advisories or updates related to Dataverse in your region.
    2. Let's look for environment usage - any spikes or unusual activity that might exacerbate performance issues.
    3. Let's engage Microsoft support with environment details, version number, and timestamps of the slow performance for direct investigation and escalation.
    4.  In the mean time, if we can go for temporary workaround like:
    • If available, can we use alternate environments?
    • Can we schedule heavy  lifting task during off-peak hours?
    • Least one, clearing browser cache or trying different browsers can sometimes help.

I am sure some clues I tried to give. If these clues help to resolve the issue brought you by here, please don't forget to check the box Does this answer your question? At the same time, I am pretty sure you have liked the response!
