hi everyone,

i am building a copilot bot for SOP and policy documents in our company using share point as the repository and teams as the channel for the bot,

1. i want to know how to get information on the chatting user like department, Designation, name(i could get), company as in the teams contact form?

2. i want to restrict certain documents based on the designation and department so how can i do this easily in copilot?

Hi,

Try below

1. Enable Authentication and get the user context to make the Graph API call to get the user department, designation and other details from EntraID

2. Organize Folders and documents department wise and manage folder level permissions so that users from a specific department can access the content they have access to. Eg: Each department can have a folder or even a site and has access to their department specific documents only
