Hello,

We found that email template has been changed for Approval request - labeled 'Created by'.
In MS teams - we don't have a 'Created by' only "Requested for".

My tests - in Outlook we have  'Created by' = User who run Flow.

Flow run as "Row owner".

Is it possible to exclude 'Created by' from email?

I know about limitation "The creator of the flow will always be shown in the Approval details (email content and all clients). This is to prevent spoofing of approval sender identities."

Why we didn't see 'Created by' in email of Approval request before?

This was added in late 2024 (guessing?) for security reasons.  It helps prevent spoofing.

“The creator of the flow will always be shown in the Approval details (email content and all clients). This is to prevent spoofing of approval sender identities.”

If you wanted to "standardize" the requested by, you could have your current flow send an email or some other action to initiate a helper flow which could then trigger an approval from a service account (so essentially all approvals are requested by your company service account individuals.

But that said, as an approver, I want to know who is making the request.  And to answer your question, no you cannot suppress Requested By, it is a security feature and can't be excluded.

    Hi Tom,
    Thank you for quick reply!

I attached screenshoot of Approval request (from same action 'Start and waining approval') from 'flow-noreply@microsoft.com' at 17th July 2025.
As you can see we have only 'Requested by'+ User email.
