now that Agent Builder agents can be shared to the org and added to the registry, would it be possible to have some sort of backup options for these agents. Currently, if a user deletes an agent they have built, unless it was exported at some point, there are no recovery options available.

This is a great suggestion and would address a real gap in Agent Builder today.

While agents can now be shared across the organization and added to the registry, they still don't have built-in version history, snapshots, or rollback capabilities. If an agent is accidentally deleted or overwritten, recovery is only possible if the creator previously exported it.

It would be valuable to have capabilities such as:

Automatic version history for every save or publish.

Manual snapshots before making significant changes.

One-click restore or rollback to a previous version.

Soft delete with a retention period so deleted agents can be recovered.

An audit trail showing who changed the agent and when.

As organizations begin treating these agents as production assets, backup and recovery become just as important as sharing and governance. Hopefully this is something the product team considers in a future release. In the meantime, exporting agents regularly is the best safeguard against accidental loss.
