Teacher here who has just started using copilot studio.  I'm hoping to use this to automate something I do manually at the moment, including for subjects I don't have the expertise in to do it myself.  I have a copy of an exam paper and also the contents page of the student's textbook.  I am wanting to generate a list which maps each exam question to one or more of the sections of the textbook (ie, if question 1 relates to the content in chapter 1A, then the list will show this).  I have had some success so far, however, this is for single questions at a time, and only where it has been obvious.  I am guessing I need to include some actions, etc, but don't understand enough on how to automate this process.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    Automate exam categorisation
@AH-14030832-0 To automate the process, the workflow needs to-
    1.     Extract text from the exam paper (questions).
    2.     Extract text from the textbook contents page (chapters and topics).
    3.     Analyze the content of each question and compare it with textbook sections.
    4.     Map each question to one or more textbook sections based on topic similarity.
    5.     Generate a structured output (CSV/Excel/List) for easy reference.

You can achieve this using Copilot Studio, along with some Power Automate actions, AI models, and possible integration with Microsoft Dataverse or SharePoint.
    1.     For Text Analysis use AI models (Azure AI, OpenAI API) or built-in Copilot intelligence.
    2.     For Automation use Power Automate flows to process multiple questions at once.
    3.     For Storage & Output, save results in Dataverse, SharePoint, or Excel.

At very high level below steps needed -
    1.     Upload the exam paper and textbook contents to OneDrive or SharePoint.
    2.     Use Power Automate to read the text from both files.
    3.     Use AI to check which textbook section matches each question.
    4.     Save the matches in an Excel file.
    5.     Share the Excel file through email or Teams.
    6.     If the AI makes mistakes, allow manual corrections in Power Apps.
    7.     Automate the process so it runs whenever you upload a new exam.
    8.     Improve accuracy by training AI with past exam questions.
    9.     Use Copilot to answer specific questions when needed.
    10.     Test with a few questions first, then expand.

    Automate exam categorisation
Hi @AH-14030832-0 - I've spent a lot of time and effort automating my marking and assessment process for university students. Copilot studio will definitely help but you will also need to consider the correct categorisation/mapping of data. I would suggest SharePoint. I would also suggest upskilling in Power Automate as some tasks would be better executed through flows than actions. This will also lead to you creating agents :)
