OneDrive "Convert" / "Convert file using path" connector produces blank PDF from HTML

OneDrive "Convert file using path" action (HTML → PDF) produces a blank single-page PDF. No changes were made to the flow or HTML — this was working correctly before this date (15 May 2026)

Environment

  • Connector: OneDrive for Business – "Convert file using path"

  • Source format: HTML

  • Target format: PDF

  • Flow type: Manually triggered (also affects scheduled flows) (using this flow for testing Purpose)

What I've observed

  1. The flow runs successfully — all actions show green ticks, no errors.

  2. The output PDF is a valid file (not corrupt), but contains a completely blank page.

  3. Raw PDF output reveals the converter is now using Chromium / Skia PDF m126 engine:
    /Creator (Chromium)
    /Producer (Skia/PDF m126)

  4. This appears to be a backend engine change — previously this connector did not use Chromium.

  5.

What I've already tried (all still produce blank PDF)

  • ✅ Simplified HTML to basic tags only (<h1>, <p>, <table>) — still blank

  • ✅ Removed all CSS (flex, @media print, break-inside) — still blank

  • ✅ Tested with minimal HTML (<html><body><h1>Test</h1></body></html>) — still blank

  • ✅ Added <meta name="viewport" content="width=100, initial-scale=1.0">

  • ✅ Added explicit body dimensions (width: 210mm)

  • ✅ Added delay before conversion step

  • ✅ Verified the HTML file content is correct in OneDrive before conversion

Impact

  • Multiple production flows using this connector are affected.

  • This is a breaking change with no prior announcement or documentation.

  • Other users have reported the same issue starting the same week (reference: Microsoft Q&A post dated 16 May 2026).

Request

  1. Can Microsoft confirm whether the OneDrive conversion backend was updated around 15 May 2026?

  2. Is there a known fix or workaround for the Chromium/Skia engine rendering blank pages?

  3. When can we expect a resolution?

Thank you.

This simple flow correctly produces a PDF with content in my testing:

Can you show a screenshot of your Convert File Using Path and Create File actions (copy/pasted into the body of a comment here) so we can see exactly what data is being fed into those two actions? My guess is there's an error in the dynamic content in one of those two actions.

    Hi

Thanks for the response, I have shared my flow details along with the files am using for reference, to generate the pdf file (dummy.html & dummy.pdf). I hope this helps to identify the bug, it's strange, my workflows were working until 15.06.26, not sure what changed.

Convert file using path: ( using same file in convert file)

    Many Thanks,

This is also happening to us. We convert onedrive HTML to PDF regularly and something happened on the 15th to break this. The outputs file content section looks mangled compared to a working output form the 13th of May.

I'm having the same problem. It affects every flow using the Convert file and Convert file using path actions, including flows that have remained unchanged for months. The problem began after May 13.

The Convert file and Convert file using path actions are working again in our environment.

    Hi

Thanks for the note. I have validated both scenarios, and the OneDrive connector is working as expected, generating the PDF without any issues. However, I’m not certain whether this is a temporary or permanent fix. I also had a call with the support team to ensure that a permanent resolution is in place.
