Microsoft Power Automate makes a basic automation unnecessarily difficult. A connection can show ‘Connected’ on the Connections page while the flow designer simultaneously reports that the same connection is broken. Setting up a scheduled unattended desktop flow required repeated connection creation, runtime configuration, credential troubleshooting, and navigating between multiple inconsistent screens. This workflow needs to be dramatically simplified.

Unless you're just venting, you'll need to show your workflow and explain what you need help simplifying. Otherwise, I can only offer sympathy in the struggles of mastering the Power Platform and dealing with its quirks.

The core issue is not the lack of automation capabilities, but the complexity and inconsistency of the Power Automate experience. A connection can appear

healthy in one place while being reported as broken elsewhere, leaving users unsure which status to trust.

For unattended desktop flows, Microsoft should simplify the entire setup into a single guided experience that validates the connection, credentials, machine,

runtime, permissions, and environment before the flow is scheduled.

The ideal experience should be:

Connect → Validate → Select machine → Test → Schedule → Run
