Hi everyone,

Since Aug 4, our Power Automate flows that use the Azure DevOps connector have stopped working.

Both the trigger "When a work item is updated" (OnWorkItemUpdatedV2) and the "Update a work item" action fail with the following error:

ResponseSwaggerSchemaValidationFailure
The API operation 'OnWorkItemUpdatedV2' requires the property 'System_AssignedTo' to be of type 'Object' but is of type 'String'.

We have already tried:

Recreating the trigger.

Creating a brand new flow.

Recreating the Azure DevOps connection.

Testing with different work items.

The issue persists. After comparing the responses, we found that:

The Azure DevOps REST API (api-version=7.1) returns System.AssignedTo as an Object.

The visualstudioteamservices connector returns System_AssignedTo as a String ("Name <email>").

The connector then validates the response against a schema expecting an Object, causing ResponseSwaggerSchemaValidationFailure

The same behavior occurs for other identity fields such as:

System.CreatedBy

System.ChangedBy

System.AuthorizedAs

Has anyone experienced the same issue recently? Is this a known regression in the Azure DevOps connector, or is there any workaround while Microsoft investigates?
