Process mining error strings.processAdvisorIntegration.error.failedToGetParams

Has anyone encountered the  error message "strings.processAdvisorIntegration.error.failedToGetParams" when using PA process mining and what is the fix? Gemini was no help - none of the suggested solutions are applicable to my situation. I'm using the web version and my environment role is "maker without full data access". The flow runs without errors or warnings - actually this is not completely accurate. Initially, it did display a warning that I wasn't restricting the number of records I was running Get Items on (paraphrasing here, but hope you get the idea), but this is a must for my flow so I ended up just injecting some dummy code to suppress it so that I don't get that annoying warning on every run.

Based on the information provided, the most likely causes are:
    • Insufficient permissions for Process Mining or Dataverse access.
    • A Process Mining project configuration issue.
    • A flow structure that Process Mining cannot properly analyze.
    • A recent Microsoft Process Mining regression or platform issue.
Given your role of Maker without full data access, I would start by verifying permissions and testing with a simple flow before investigating the flow design itself.

This will quickly determine whether the issue is environment-related or specific to the flow being analyzed.

    Hi @Krit,

Microsoft docs confirm this directly: if you get an error when trying to analyze a process in Process Mining, it's caused by a missing security role. Your "Maker without full data access" role doesn't have the required Dataverse privileges for Process Mining to work.

Fix: ask your environment admin to assign you the full Environment Maker security role. Process Mining creates a dataflow during setup that needs specific Dataverse table privileges at Organization level, and the restricted Maker role doesn't have those.

    Best regards,

    Valantis
