New Experience - Evaluations not working because of permissions

Hi all. I am having a problem running Evaluations on the new Copilot experience. My agents needs a file to be uploaded. I can't do attachments in Evaluations, so I give it a Sharepoint link. This works fine normally, but in Evaluations I get a Permissions Required error. The account is correctly set up and linked, but it just doesn't work in Evaluations. See screenshot below. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

    Thanks for sharing the issue details. The agent is able to respond, but it is failing when trying to retrieve the SharePoint file, and the error shown is Permission required. That suggests the problem is in the SharePoint access or evaluation/runtime connection path, not the prompt itself.
     
    From the description, it also looks like the agent is asking the user to upload the file directly after it cannot download from SharePoint. If the same file works in normal chat but fails in Evaluation, that points to a difference in the evaluation user profile, connection, or policy context.
     
    Could you confirm:

    - whether the same account can open the SharePoint file directly in browser
    - which user profile is selected in Evaluation
    - whether the Microsoft Copilot Studio connector is allowed by DLP/policy
    - the exact Evaluation run ID and timestamp

    Thank you for your reply. Answers to your questions:
     
    • Yes the same account (mine) can open the Sharpoint folder and files
    • It's my user profile selected in the Evaluation
    • I believe the connector is allowed. Similar Evaluations in the old experience worked fine - it's only the new experience where I have this problem.
    • I'm not sure how I get this exactly, but I think it is Test Case ID: 7d16f10a-f177-4af2-a2a3-570a45c6cbab and timestamp 14:06 on 28/07/2026
