Using cloud based. created a new flow that selects unread emails from my email inbox based on a specific sender. parses attachments on those emails that end in name ends with .pdf. creates new file in onedrive (to create an attachment copy) in a specified folder that exists, marks emails selected as read. all in this order.
saves with no errors, tests with no errors. awesome great. doesn't do anything....
seems to hang on last few steps of flow even though message is "run successfully"
there is raw input and output of emails selected that i would expect to see in selection (about a dozen).
not a developer. using the UI.
Any ideas?
side question: is using desktop better than cloud for power automate?

Click the run history again and view where it strikes and check each action if it does correctly all procesing?

i have to say that might be the correct answer, but shouldn't be in this case. this is a basic email flow for which there are controls in both Outlook 365 and Onedrive connectors to do what should be a simple automate task. copilot tells me my flow is created well, and at the same time runs itself in circles when i use it to find the problem issue. so, if i have to hire a professional to do this basic task, then the reality is that power automate has a ways to go because there are tasks a developer should not be necessary for. Really i should be able to prompt it to create mail flows that are not template based but nonetheless do not require a power automate developer. if it is AI optimized (which based on copilot so far it seems not), that should not be a problem either.

Can you share screen shots of how the flow is configured so that we can see the actions that are used. Also, can you expand upon "doesn't do anything...." The flow obviously has to be doing something if it triggers, runs, and ends without any error messages. Without seeing your flow, I don't even know if you have a condition in it from your post. If you do, the flow may not be meeting the condition which is why it runs and seems to do nothing. It could even be a simple case of using reverse logic in a condition (if any conditions exist in your flow).

the flow selects unread emails from a specific sender to my inbox, retrieves the email body of the email with attachments included. copilot said i had to 1st loop with body/value, and then loop each again with attachments as the value. the condition that next comes specifies only to continue on with attachment names ending in .pdf. for attachments in the loop that are specified by the condition then create a file in a onedrive specified folder for the attachment, and lastly... mark the email the emails as read in each case. technically speaking marking email read could be the first action after selecting emails however in this case will make no difference as all emails from the sender will have a .pdf attachment (as well as a copy of other attachments not wanted).

it fails at the 1st loop/apply to each but i really cant find any errors to explain why. also i can view the raw input and output (table of values of the emails) and the email content, including identification of attachment files, is there.

i ended up re-making this flow one step at a time testing along the way to see where problems begin since they weren't easily visible in visual editor. much better way to go for me. not like it has many steps.
