Hie there,

Is it possible to change the default currency set for an environment? My environment was created using Euros are default currency but I would like to change the default currency to USD

Yes. Microsoft now provides a supported procedure to change the Dataverse base currency after the environment has been created, so the older advice that you

must recreate the environment is no longer generally correct. Microsoft documents a Base Currency Conversion solution specifically for this purpose.

For your case: EUR → USD

You can change the environment's base currency from EUR to USD.

The process is roughly:

Back up the environment/database first.
Install Microsoft's Base Currency Conversion solution from Marketplace.
Open the Base Currency Conversion app in Power Apps.
Create a BaseCurrencyConversion record.
Set New Base Currency = USD.
Save it.
Go to Settings → Business Management → Currencies and verify that USD is now marked as the base currency.
Correct the exchange rates for the remaining currencies relative to USD.
Import/create the required historical exchange-rate data.
Start the base currency conversion job and monitor it to completion.
