Hi,Is it possible to program the bot to provide the original file/URL in the citation links used to provide answers? By default, each answer has citation links but they point to a summary of the underlying information and the presentation of text from pdfs and Excel files is not user friendly. Instead, I would like the citation links to point directly to the underlying information source used (files, webpage etc.). Is that possible?
Hi @Husky07
Because the files are uploaded to Dataverse, they're not exposed externally and accessible to your chatbot users, hence why no link or URL is provided. Would you be interested in the ability to manually set a URL for each uploaded document? You'd then need to be responsible to make sure it's active and accessible to your users.
In any case, please do raise your business requirement as a feature request here, so this can be considered by the product group: aka.ms/CopilotStudioFeatureRequest

Thanks for the clarification Henry. What is odd though, is that some links are provided in URL format while others are not. Is there a rule as to which ones are? Maybe dependent on data input source? The idea of the bot is to allow internal users to quickly find files on sharepoint/intranet. The URL is therefore essential. In reference to your suggestion, rather than manually specifying the URL for each document when uploaded, would it be possible to add the URL automatically on upload? Thanks
You can have a mix of URL and citation text when you use different sources: public websites and SharePoint libraries do return links. Uploaded files to generative answers don't. For Azure OpenAI on your data and custom data, it depends if you return a URL or not.
What is the source of the documents you're using?
