Check Box Modern Controls - Where is onChange and how can I follow R.Dorrani tutorial

I'm following this tutorial:
Power Apps Editable Grid using Gallery & Modern Controls (2023)

And at around the time 11.22 he creates a hidden button for each line in a gallery that is selected to add the lines data to a collection. The problem is, there is a checkbox in use which doesn't have an onChange property. I've tried:

Using "classic" check box (still no onChange property)
Searching for onChange
Using OnCheck and UnCheck to select the hidden button
Using OnSelect to select the hidden button

None of these attempts work.

Any ideas?

Think I've managed it:

and for OnCheck make varActive = true. Then on the hidden button, patch varActive for the Yes/No column in the SP list.

Here is what i did.

I confirmed via the properties that checking and unchecking works. i also was able to update the sharepoint list via the button (Save).

i was also following the same video.
