security roles issues for certain users

Hello

 

I have a security role called scout, so i added users to this role, basically this role will allow user to modify/create new players

 

Same when i shared the app, i also included this role while sharing with user, but when the user access the app and tries to update/modify, it doesnt allow!!

what other option i might be missing? i literally checked everything

    @chahineatallah1 - a couple questions:

    1. Is Submit form button only updating the Player table? or is it updating other tables as well?
    2. Also, for the screenshot, are you trying to create a new record or update?
      1. If you are trying to Patch/Update - it may be worthwhile to add the GUID on the screen for testing purposes. This will help ensure the GUID is being passed correctly. It may not be a permissions issue, but a Canvas App setup problem.

    Hi Rajat

    1. It is updating only player table

    2. I was updating a record, but for create it behaves same, not allowing to update

    very strange as my permissions are allowing that

    so an update to my solution

    The issue was i put before column security and the user doesnt have permission for writing these columns

    and i included these columns in patch function, this was the issue 🙂
