I'm newbie to use azure services. I'm using power apps portal for my personal business case were it stores all the business data into data verse which now holds huge amount of stale data which is not needed. So I need to archive those data. doing some research i got to know about synapse analytics link in power apps which will help us to store the data verse data into azure synapse SQL pool. I am pretty confused here. if i can transform only my deleting records into that azure synapse SQL pool is possible? or even if I replicate all my data verse table into azure synapse analytics SQL pool will cost more than what it stored at data verse? basically what I am asking is storing data in data verse is costly or azure synapse SQL pool is costly? or suggest me any ways do help me to archive my stale data in data verse?

Short answer, DataLake gen2 storage will set you back 15 cents per GB

    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/storage/data-lake/

Dataverse storage costs you 48 euro's per GB. Costwise, Azure is your friend.

    Hi @Anonymous,

The method to archive your stale data from Dataverse to Azure Data Lake is the right one and it follows Microsoft's recommendation. It will be less costly than Dataverse storage for sure. Cheers

Yes @EricRegnier  you are right data lake is less cost. but i wanted to know i have connect with azure synapse workspace for SQL analytics which holds some built in SQL pool  is that costlier than dataverse?

No it's actually just an Azure Storage Account, which has Hierarchical Namespace enabled. So storage is coming from the cheaper options. You can use the SQL Pools for analytical insights, like getting all transactions from a certain lead, but it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking for.
