No matter what I do the text remains so every time I do a copy and paste of controls I have then edit teh text property to remove that text. Wierd! I have experienced this on three different PC now

Would you please share a screenshot of the issue you mentioned?
I may not reproduce your scenario, and per my testing of the copy and paste operation, it works for the current PowerApps Studio in Web.

@v-micsh-msftWhat about all the other bugs that have appeared since version 2.0.791 with Users unable to edit any of their Apps. There is still no advice / update on the Forums for the numerous posts about the issue.
I copied a particular line of text in an onselect to pass to another control - all good. Then I create a new text box formatted to what I wanted and then copied and pasted it. I get teh result highlighted below. The new control is fine but the old one had the original text added from onselect property I copied earlier
