I have a potential project coming up. My high level plan is to use Power Automate to email the app link to various people in the process. The app will open to the correct form. After reviewing the document the user will make the necessary updates to the form and submit the updates. One of the request is to verify the user actually opened the document in the attachment control to review. I know there no way to make sure the user reviewed the document but I would like to be able to capture that at least the document was opened by the user. I haven't been able to figure a way to verify the document was opened. Has anyone ran into this scenario and what was your resolution? Thank you for any help or suggestions
Hi @M_Whitenight ,
Unfortunately the only "trigger" events on an Attachment Control are concerning adding and removing files. I actually had the same dilemma as you with knowledge tests - I stored my documents in a Library opened by a button and have a timestamp on everything (file opened or action and who did it an when) written to a List, so for instance the coordinator can see the time difference between opening the material and starting and submitting the test.
