Using a customised filtered list within a SharePoint List to create a Power App

Hello,

Please can someone assist, I am looking to create an app using a filtered category list within a SharePoint list.

Usually in a SharePoint list, we have - All items and then one can create a specific list of what they want to see and it can be saved.

Please see below as an example;

Can someone advise if it is possible to create an app using details from the filtered list for instance Enterprise.

I tried creating the app using the specific category list URL but it still retrieves data for All items and not the specific category I wanted.

Kind Regards,

Ron

    Hi @Ronchoski ,

    Any views/filters created in SharePoint can't be used in PowerApps, but you can re-create them.

    Hi @Ronchoski,

    You can recreate datacards by selecting the form, then clicking on Edit Fields, Add Field, and then choose the field you want to re-create:

    Hello @BCBuizer ,

    Thanks for message.

    That I have been able to do, but I thought it was going to be possible to use a filtered category within the List in SharePoint.

    Thanks

    HI @Ronchoski ,

    Apologies, I mixed up two topics.

    To be able to create a filter there are a few things we need to know:

    0. What data source do you want to filter?

    1. What column(s) do you want to filter and what is the data type?

    2. What value(s) do you want to filter for?

    Basically this corresponds to the syntax of the Filter() function: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/power-fx/reference/function-filter-lookup#syntax

    Hello @BCBuizer ,

    Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

    Please see below;

    - The Data source is SharePoint Online

    - The column I want to filter is a Tick box option in SharePoint

    - The value I want to filter is to get a name (Text)

    The Plan is to be able to able to import the details from SharePoint to PowerApp, but when I do, it duplicates the name in Powerapp...

    Any queries do let me know.

    Regards,

    Ron
