Power App display strange behavior

I have a basic Power App that I have embedded in a SharePoint page.   When it's embedded it has borders on the left and right side.   All of the controls are in a single container.  The container does not have any borders applied and is set to 0 width, none for border style and transparent for the color.  The borders are the same height as the canvas but the canvas doesn't have any borders either.

 

I can't figure out where these borders are coming from.

 

Image #1 is what it looks like on the page.  You can see the very faint container edges and then the side borders on either side of the embedded app.

Image #2 is when the page is in Edit mode.  You can clearly see that the borders are on the Power App and not the webpart.
