How PowerApps reserved icons work?

I don't know if it's considered a problem but I like using the icon control to use it as a button without being a button, I don't think that using an image control to load an svg icon is not the most viable solution, there are also functions that the control icon control can do that the image control can't, it would be a rework to recreate everything the icon control would do; so my question is how does the icon control icons work? Additionally, when one visualizes that it is the icon that was selected, it says that the data type is "Text" and the text says "builtinicon:Check" to which the function says "Icon.Check". I don't know if this is a PowerApps library that can be accessed by consulting an svg image, so I suspect that it is possible to incorporate svg images in an icon control but Microsoft has not released how that works, so I would like to know if someone has discovered it or if still can't be done.

By the way, I think there is the idea of what I propose but it seems that Microsoft has not implemented this and as usual, it has been years without this being implemented, so there is no way to create another idea because they are going to ignore it anyway and that are based on votes to incorporate a new functionality, very serious, but I am sure that many want that functionality (or many) but always ignore them.

As far I know, Power Apps Icons use font glyphs that's why their property is Text when the App is loaded with it a file containing the fonts is loaded. What populate the icons so there is nothing related to svg.

I get it and just found that out today, there seems to be no way to load an external svg to an icon control; It would be great if the image control had configuration options to make it a button and yes, there are ways to simulate that but it is unnecessary to add more controls, on the other hand, I know the way to add svg to an image control but this one doesn't It looks great because when interacting with the cursor, the image control doesn't behave the same as an icon control, and even more so because it doesn't change the cursor for the hand. For me as a developer, the icons reserved for PowerApps are enough, but for those who use the app, those icons tell us nothing, that is, the ones I chose for a functionality do not intuit what they want to do, and although I have searched for a way to get an icon control to work with an external svg but to no avail, but thanks 😉

    Hi @MasterRA

Try with Fluent UI Icon component provided in PowerApps Creator Kit from CAT team.

You would have plenty of icon choices, and it could act as either button or icon as you like.
