Question About Searchfunction with a SQL Database

Hey Guys,

I'm currently working on an app with an SQL Database. My function on the Item property of my Gallery is:

Search(Vorgang, txtSearch.Text, "Beschwerde", "Eingang", "Grund", "Vorgangsnummer")

Copilot suggests that there are several errors in the expression:

  1. The Search function is missing the required identifier names for the table and the search term.
  2. The Search function has additional invalid arguments, which are the string literals "Beschwerde", "Eingang", "Grund", and "Vorgangsnummer". These should not be included as arguments in the Search function.

I've double-checked it and believe it should be correct. Am I missing something? Are there specific considerations I need to be aware of because I'm using an SQL Database and not a SharePoint list?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @SimonP2

The correct syntax is to not include double quotes around the column names:

Search(Vorgang, txtSearch.Text, Beschwerde, Eingang, Grund, Vorgangsnummer)

If you're running the Power Apps editor in German, you'll need to replace the commas with semi-colons.

Search(Vorgang; txtSearch.Text; Beschwerde; Eingang; Grund; Vorgangsnummer)

Hopefully one of the 2 above will resolve the issue.
