Missing option "Open in Bot Framework Composer"

Hi,

I am missing the option to open a topic in Bot Framework Composer as shows by the documentation. I have seen this issue on the forum, and it seemed to be a licensing issue, however I do have the Microsoft Copilot Studio User License, as in picture attached.

My questions are:

  1. Do I also need the Power Virtual Agent User License to extend my chatbot?
    • Is this different to the Microsoft Copilot Studio User License?
  2. Could my bot be using a trial subscription instead of the User license? (I see that I also have the trial license and my bot recently asked my to extend my trial).
    • How can I check what license my chatbot is using?
  3. Could this be caused by something else?

See screenshots below.

Thanks so much,

Nina

    Hi @Nina131

Extending a bot using the Bot Framework Composer is only possible on the 'old', classic, version.

New bots use the unified authoring canvas, and this option is no longer available as the Bot Framework Composer has modern alternatives: Key concepts for Bot Framework Composer users - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
