Guys, what is the secret to upload a video file to a sharepoint list database using the Attatchments?

I tried to do PowerApps -> Sharepoint and did not work

But, uploading it via Sharepoint I was able to download it in PowerApps..

What is the limitation of PowerApps on this?

I needed to my users register entries and then upload a video...

Hi @Anonymous,

Are you using PowerApps in iOS to upload the videos? Currently, iOS devices can only upload files from documents and cloud storage accounts. To attach photos/videos, please use the web browser on your iOS device to run the app.

I just tested in desktop web browser, and I am able to upload videos with attachment control inside Form successfully.

Hi @v-monli-msft, thanks for the reply.
I was trying to upload the video file from an Android Device using the powerapps.
I tried to upload from web browser and got a error for 10mb max limit, maybe this is the reason I was not able to upload because my video files was larger than 10mb...
I tried with a video lower than 10mb and got it working perfectly.
But in my case this will not be the best scenario because I am going to have videos larger than 10mb 😞
I will have to use another tool in this case 😞

Hi,

Old thread, I know, just doing some housekeeping,

You can actually set that limit to a value other than 10 in the attachment settings within the DataCard in PowerApps,

Are you suggesting that we are able to upload video files to Sharepoint from PowerApps now? Do you know anything about the progress of this feature?

@iAm_ManCat When I attempted to alter the Max MB setting it would let me change it but as soon as I "Played" with the app to test, it would revert back to the 10MB and not allow me to upload anything larger.

@TorreyFalconer I'm not aware of any progress with this feature, I was just suggesting from what I have found myself.

@michaele124 weird, mine has done the same, but if I go to the formula for the value it shows 25 while still showing 10 in the box on the right:

Ok, it looks like that's been changed again to a fixed 10 limit, I tried to upload and it just rejected it saying its too large 😿

No idea about when this will be changed, but will keep an eye out for any updates!
