Power Automate premium - question

Hi,

I am new to automate and trying to understand how the premium connectors pricing structure works.

I am attempting to create a power app which will auto-fill a word or PDF document and place in a specific file.

This seems really straight forward to do from looking at tutorials but I have no idea how the pricing works for power automate and the online info doesn't help.

I would be creating roughly 50 flows for 50 different docs.

I would like multiple different people to be able to use the app and submit the new digital docs.

How does this work for the pricing?

I realise it is a premium connector but does it mean if I create the flow am I the only one capable of using the new flow? Or can anyone use the flow?

Thanks for your help

Re: Power Automate premium - question

    Hi @Channah,

A service account is just a user account which is dedicated to running flows.

So if you have a flow that is triggered when a new item is created in a SharePoint list, it doesnt really matter who creates the item as long as an item is created.

    Hi Eric,

    Thanks for your response!

To confirm when you say "the flows will still run" is that for people who don't have any higher tiered accounts?

I have never heard of "service" accounts. Is this just the highest tiered account or something different for businesses all together?

    Thanks,

    Connor

Re: Power Automate premium - question

    Hi @Channah ,

The flows will still run.  You can also look into using service accounts to run your flows rather than your account.  The service account will usually have the higher tiered licensing and you wont' have the issues of flows being disabled if the owner leaves the organisation.

You can reuse the same service account for multiple flows as long but be aware of the throttling limits etc from Power Automate.

I found this blog useful in describing the benefits.
