BOT Does NOT Work on My Site!

Hello all,

My frustration is at an all time high. Built the bot, looks great on the Test bot and the demo site. Go to publish it on my site and it does not look right at all. When I inquired with my side is it because it is a doctype and not a script so it won't ever come out right and interact the way that it should. Is this accurate? How do y'all get this to look right and work when it is a doctype and not a script? Is there some other program that you use to convert it?

I am attaching a photo and part of the script here. Am I installing something wrong? I go to my site, copy paste the code and the photo is what comes up.

Code: <!DOCTYPE html><html><body><iframe src="https://web.powerva.microsoft.com/environments/Default-1438f1fe-3e15-4a7a-8f1d-aaf1d53722be/........

Nope. I have given up on Microsoft in its entirety. I found another company and now the bot is live on my website. Took me a few hours to redesign it but it works on my site, looks great and it is not a 1997 doctype. This is the consequence of Microsoft not coding like its 2023 going into 2024 and coding like its 1997. Thank you for your help. It is unfortunate but I'm happy now. My custom built chatbot works and now I can move on. Best wishes to you and yours.

I see. Alternatively, have you considered using a custom web chat client?

BOT Does NOT Work on My Site!
Thank you for responding but it is not my website. I have used Watson on a client's website and their code is a script. Our host are the same. My host tells me that it is an issue from Microsoft's end in not making it a script. As long as it doesn't read like a script, my website will continue to have a problem. I've tried to convert the html into a javascript but it doesn't work because it still read like an html issue. It needs to be a widget.

For some reason Microsoft thought it smart to make it an html as if this is 1997 instead of 2023 and so this service cannot be used. It is unfortunate because my team and I wasted an entire weekend working on the bot only not to be able to use it. Had it come out like others I've seen such as Watson, Botsonic and a host of others on websites, then it would have been good to go.

Nope. Microsoft designed this like it is 1997. On top of that I've already spoken to Tech support and they told me that it was beyond their scope because that is how the developers developed it so there's nothing they can do and that I'd have to hire a Microsoft Partner which I am NOT going to do. It is strictly a Microsoft issue. If you look at the script for EVERYBODY else that creates chabots you will see the same thing "script" and NOT "doctype" so again, I cannot use this service.

Thanks for the response. Appreciate it.

    Hi @Lishone -

Sorry to read this. This looks like an implementation issue of the chatbot code snippet into your website content.

Not sure if you have a webmaster or web developer who can look at why it displays that way into your page.

If you feel it's a product issue, you can also raise a support request here: Get Help + Support in Power Platform - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

Re: BOT Does NOT Work on My Site!

Since this has gotten over 33 views and absolutely no responses I've decided that I will NOT be using this service. It is pointless to have a community and admins that cannot answer the question or help out in anyway. This makes no sense. Goodbye all.

The above photo is how it looks on my website. I am attaching part of what it should look like from the demo and the build. Night and Day.  All help would be appreciated. Thank you.
