Power Pages Deep Linking

I am wondering if it is possible to implement deep linking in Power Pages like it is possible in Power Apps canvas apps?

I am looking to replace a legacy canvas app with a Power Pages site and deep linking is a fundamental requirement.

Thanks

    Hi @BF-02121120-0,

Deep Linking in Power Pages is not inherently built-in or straightforward like Power (Canvas) Apps. But it has native support for deep linking via URL params and navigation functions.

    What you can do:
    1. Read URL params or paths using custom JS on the Power Page.
    2. User liquid templates to parse URL params and render content conditionally.
    3. Implement logic (say Dataverse logic) and handle state or navigation based on extracted URL data.
    4. Implement custom page routing to support parameterized URL data.

Yes, deep linking is fully achievable in Power Pages, although it isn't implemented in the same way as Canvas Apps. The recommended approach is to use query string parameters (or route parameters where appropriate), read them using JavaScript or Liquid, and use them to load or filter Dataverse data. Combined with proper Table Permissions and Web Roles, this provides a robust replacement for most deep-linking scenarios used in Canvas Apps.
