Hi,
I have been reading threads about sandbox and production environments for portals.
After the trial period is the only option production environment in order to keep work done on current portal?Is there any sandbox portal environment? My portal is connect to dataverse.
Am really confused about all this.

That is indeed correct.
The trial only lasts 30 days, your portal then becomes 'soft-deleted' for 7 days, and then permanently removed by Microsoft (including all your configuration).
You can migrate portal configuration from one environment to another environment (using a tool called XrmToolBox), but again - you'll only get another 30 days trial.
Unfortunately, there are currently no Portal developer plans available.
