As we are trying to do environment cleanup in our organisation and consolidating different environments, we have ran into an issue where it seems like we cant move data in many to many relationships to a new environment.
Hi @BallZer0h, what method are you using to perform your data migration? Custom scripts, Dataflows, Power Automate, SSIS, Excel import, etc? You can use this tool from XrmToolBox to import N-N relationships assuming you don't have a lot (<100,000): https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/plugins/Javista.XrmToolBox.ManageNN/
The idea was to use dataflows, but that doesnt seem to support it. Doesnt microsoft have any official tool for these kinds of operations?
Unfortunately it's not supported yet with Dataflows as stated here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/common-data-service/cds-odata-dataflows-migration#limitations
The platform offers the SDKs and APIs to custom script/built the import, but not out-of-the-box tools. There are community tools like the one mentioned and Kingswaysoft with SSIS, but alternatively I would recommend if you can, use Power Automate with the CDS current environment connector which allows you to manage N-N relationships with the relate and unrelate actions.
You can also submit that idea for Dataflows at: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas
Hope this helps...
