I have requirement that if I change value of account (lookup) , the associated phone number should be populated to the another field - phone number (pcf). I am suing webapi in js to retrive associated phone number from accountid, but the pcf control phone number does not refreshes the new value. it only refreshes when I refresh page using ribbon button.
Did your PCF have a bind to the account lookup field?
PCF can trigger a update event once you change the data. If your component is not binding to any field, you will not have any trigger to tell to PCF to update the view. in that case it will only refresh on the reload of the page.
