Power App get stuck in Development Mode and then cannot save or Edit

I am very frustrated with Power Apps getting stuck in development mode and then you cannot edit or save the application again. Does not matter what you try. You literally have to delete the app and start over. There is no warning you want to save and then suddenly the "save as" and save button is grayed out.

I have now had 7 x instances in the last 3 months. I am trying to promote your product at our organization and this is a huge red flag for me. After it happened the first time I lost +- 300 hours worth of development time. I then decided to make a development copy of the app every time I am finished for the day. But now I have to make a development copy every 1 hour to ensure that I do not loose all my work done. It does not even work to roll back to earlier versions to outcome is the same.

I have already rolled out 26 apps in my organization and have convinced the principles that this is the root to go. Now we are hitting these snags. I am now very cautious to upgrade the older apps with the new modern controls.

I have cleared my cache etc. etc. and nothing works.

I am not saying that this is the root cause, however my trouble started by incorporating the new modern controls into my old apps. It just happened again.

I would really appreciate some constructive feedback please.
