We're aware something's wonky with the blog post, apparently the title matched an older blog post and it sort of "replaced" it (the contents is new, but when clicking you're correct it shows the old date and author). They're looking to fix this but I'm expecting it will result in a new URL, breaking the link we've been sharing about the update...
Yes, the documentation is very dry and short at the moment. The original component documentation is very image heavy and not really compatible to have a sections with asterisks saying a particular piece is only available with the experimental flag. We intend to update/combine the component-related articles that are out there now when we GA the properties.
Not sure when translation happens, but the component-properties article was just published yesterday so I'm guessing that translation takes a bit longer to happen and get published.
