Creating an agent to use in Dynamics

We are looking to create an Agent that generates communication and summarizes activities related to records within Dynamics.

My two questions are:

Is Dynamics Sales Apps ( Sales Hub etc.) available as a channel and can it display in the side prompt where copilot resides? Ive seen examples in sharepoint where you can select "more agents" and work with the one you need. This would be excellent if achievable.

If we can add this agent to Dynamics, is there a way for the prompt to read from the record that is currently open? Example - summarize recent notes for this lead.

Thank you!

Yes, you can surface your Copilot Studio agent in Dynamics (side pane) via Microsoft 365 Copilot (More agents / @mention).
there is a Limitation - the side pane chat doesn’t pass the current Dataverse record to Copilot Studio agents.
    • Fix for record‑aware prompts (e.g., “summarize recent notes for this lead”):
      1. Customize “Copilot in Dynamics 365 Sales” in Copilot Studio to query the open record, or
      2. Add an Autonomous agent (MCP) to your model‑driven app so it can read the current form and post results in the agent feed.
      3. You can use also add the Dataverse MCP server to call the record my lead name and ask if to summarize the info you in instructions

@valantis I am not seeing my agent after adding it to my app. It is not connected to Power Apps MCP Server, but it is published. Documentation says if its published it should display.  Am I missing a step? I also tried mentioning it in copilot side panel but it didnt find anything. I confirmed copilot prerequisite settings are turned on. I do see previous chats within the agent when I select Agent feed. I need users to be able to chat with the agent from within the sales app.

@Valantis I was missing the option to select other agents. I had to turn this setting off.

I now have the option to select other agents, but mine does not display. Im wondering if its because I dont have it connected to Power Apps MCP Server. Even though it says publishing will allow it to display.  I did not add my agent to a channel because I dont see Dynamics Sales as an option. Could that be it?

@Valantis I did not since I am working in our sandbox environment. Will this cause it to show in Teams too or would users have to manually add it to Teams for them to see it? I dont want our users seeing it in teams since this is only a proof on concept.

the Agent want auto apear in the to teams they will need to add it manualy throw the apps

here same settings that you can do based on yours need:

    Org-Wide
Teams Admin Center > Teams apps > Manage apps > find the agent > set to Blocked.

    Per User/Group
Teams apps > Permission policies > edit/create policy > block the specific app > assign to users. Allow a few hours to take effect.

    Per Team (backup)
Team > Manage team > Settings > Member permissions > uncheck Allow members to add or remove apps.
Also worth checking Integrated apps in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to confirm everything is in sync.

    Best regards,
